Interior design trends are now global; sophisticated and cosmopolitan work appears in every corner of the world, from New York to Paris to Milan to Moscow to Macao. China has rapidly emerged as the world's largest market for luxury brands, in fashion, jewelry, automobiles, art, and now, home furnishings.
Shanghai, already a world leader in fashion, art, and architecture, and China's chicest city, is ready to take a lead position in the world of interior design. AUSEN IDC is proudly launching a presentation of the best of international home furnishings brands, many never before distributed in China.
The Era of AUSEN IDC Begins
As the extraordinary economic growth of China becomes a universal truth, the luxury sector of consumer goods has likewise grown at a previously unimagined rate. The concurrent explosive growth of private wealth in China is well documented, and the highest income group, combined with an increasingly affluent middle class, has seen the demand for high-end home furnishings rise rapidly as well
Affluent Chinese consumers are very brand conscious in fashion, jewelry and automobiles… and their choices of home furnishings depend more and more on brand and its assurance of quality, value, status and individuality. Western brands, and those associated with celebrity, are particularly sought after. There is a void in the marketplace for the highest quality, custom designed and fabricated products for which designers in the West rely for the best of interior design projects.
Because of this burgeoning luxury goods market, all of the world's top brands recognize the growing power of the Chinese economy and the need to market in the fastest growing and second-largest economy in the world, if they are not already here. Only a few pioneer brands have really penetrated the market, and in many cases, the platforms previously available to present their product are not all that they wish them to be.
Ausen-IDC, China's first international design center for luxury home furnishings products, is modeled on existing design centers in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, London and other major cities, which have been successfully been offering such high end product for decades. We are excited to introduce the IDC concept to Shanghai, while increasing awareness of residential interior design.
The new IDC will showcase more than 200 of the best design brands from Europe and USA, many being introduced to the China market for the first time. It offers an aggregative platform for high end international design in the home industry, smoothing communication between Brands, Designers and Consumers and helping to open, in the context of globalization, the IDC Era for the home industry in China.
The founding concept of AUSEN IDC is to showcase only western brands of home furnishings, capitalizing on the trends which began in fashion, jewelry, and automobiles. The rapidly emerging wealthy class of Chinese, centered largely in Shanghai and surrounding cities, is very status and brand name conscious. The residential interior design industry in China is relatively young, literally and figuratively, and IDC intends to play a large role in helping that industry mature and develop, by educating consumers about the value and need for professional help in designing their increasingly large and western style homes.
To the affluent Chinese customer, IDC is not merely a distribution channel for home furnishings retailing, but a high-end service concept which provides comprehensive and customized selection and delivery of branded home furnishings to a sophisticated and demanding clientele. IDC offers a service platform that covers assistance with choosing an interior designer to decoration and the purchase of the ideal home furnishings. All can be realized in the Ausen IDC.
The residential interior design industry here is relatively young, literally and figuratively, and IDC intends to play a large role in helping that industry mature and develop, by educating consumers about the value and need for professional help in designing their increasingly large and western style homes.
